I have my Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Designation from the National Payroll Institute. Hi Marnie, I have no experience as a book keeper and basically have taught myself due to no other choice how to do simple book keeping. I am working with quickbooks pro and just noticed recently that it has my bank account balance sitting at -42,000.00. This is actually not the right amount, I have approximately $4,778.00 in it. How do I go about finding out where the error is? Where do I even start?
Sorry for the late reply Barbara. I was away at the annual Intuit conference in California! If you haven’t solved your puzzle yet, my first question is have you reconciled the bank accounts through QuickBooks? That’s the very first thing you need to look at.
