ABOUT ME

QuickBooks is one of my passions! I’ve been using the program since helping a choreographer friend with some basic bookkeeping in the early ’90s in sunny California. I’m now living north of the border, helping businesses with their QuickBooks and teaching for Intuit as a member of the Intuit Trainer Writer Network.. I’m a dual citizen partnering with customers on-site and remotely… both in Canada and the US.

I’m a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and an Advanced Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor in Canada and the US. I have my Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Designation from the National Payroll Institute. I specialize in taming QuickBooks gone wild, untangling GST messes, all things payroll, plus training and troubleshooting.  I love teaching, answering questions, and helping people with QuickBooks challenges. If I don’t have an answer, I’ll find it!

I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma.

  1. Hello Marnie, I needed some help setting up HST for charity. I am in Canada. Can you help? Thank you.

  2. Hi Marnie, I have no experience as a book keeper and basically have taught myself due to no other choice how to do simple book keeping. I am working with quickbooks pro and just noticed recently that it has my bank account balance sitting at -42,000.00. This is actually not the right amount, I have approximately $4,778.00 in it. How do I go about finding out where the error is? Where do I even start?

  3. Sorry for the late reply Barbara. I was away at the annual Intuit conference in California! If you haven’t solved your puzzle yet, my first question is have you reconciled the bank accounts through QuickBooks? That’s the very first thing you need to look at.
